Safety – When You Need It Most

Safety – When You Need It Most

Our Chevrolet vehicles are developed with our customers in mind. Each Chevy is built from the tires up with the advanced technology you need to feel prepared to hit the road ahead. These features are tested to ensure you and your family feel as safe as possible.

Each of our vehicles will provide specific, easy-to-use features to actively help you, the driver, be aware and alert of any potentially dangerous situations that may cross your path.

Our safety technologies will always side with you.

Forward Collision Alert and Automatic Emergency Brakes

  • Warns the driver when a potential front-end collision with another vehicle is detected.

  • Provides tailgating alert when following another vehicle too closely.

  • When traveling at speeds below 50 mph in the daytime, the system works with Forward Collision Alert to help avoid or reduce the severity of a front-end collision.

  • Camera technology is used to automatically provide hard emergency braking.

Lane Keep Assist With Lane Departure Warning

  • A brief, gentle steering wheel turn alert when the vehicle is unintentionally drifting out of detected lane lines.

  • If needed, you may enable additional Lane Departure Warning alerts.

Following Distance Indicator

  • Provides a following gap-time in seconds between your vehicle and a detected vehicle you’re following.

  • This indicator helps the driver decide if the vehicle is following too closely.

Front Pedestrian Braking

  • At speeds below 50 mph during daytime, the system helps avoid or reduce the severity of a front-end collision with a pedestrian detected directly ahead of you.

  • Provides pedestrian alerts and can automatically provide hard emergency braking or enhance the driver’s hard braking.

Driven by Your Safety

Safety comes in all shapes and sizes.

At Chevy, we believe that extra assistance and safety features should always be a priority.

Our vehicle development is with you, the customer, in mind.
